Let's face it! Of all the phony holidays, Christmas wins hands down!
Christmas is a rewritten pagan holiday that celebrates nature. That's where the tree cutting thing came in. It was originally rewritten by Christians as a "compromise" to convert the pagans to Christianity. During the early twentieth century; it was again rewritten so that consumers would feel obligated to spend almost every dime they saved during the year (or borrow money they don't have) in a two week period. Almost 50% of a retailer's business comes from the Christmas season.
But it's too late to give up christmas now! it's the one time of the year when familys actually get to see each other in person, just to give em a little gift of shitz and gigglez. if it wasn't for those christmas creators we would have to settle for animal sacrifices and eating virgins. it's a toss up
